OCEANTECH™ — Proven at Milas

Every product we sell, we run ourselves.

The OCEANTECH™ range was not developed in a laboratory and sold into the market. It was developed and validated through real commercial production at our Milas facility — before being offered to clients.

OCEANTECH™ RAS Equipment

Operated — not just tested

Drum Filters

Proven at Milas

Rotating mesh screen mechanical filtration for suspended solids removal. The first equipment our Milas operators interact with each morning — that daily familiarity drives continuous refinement. Flow capacities from 100 to 3,000+ m³/hour, thermoplastic construction, gravity-fed or pressurised.

MBBR Biofilters

Proven at Milas

Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor biological filtration for ammonia and nitrite conversion. Carrier media management at Milas — monitoring biofilm development and responding to biological upsets — gives our engineers direct experience of behaviour under variable bioload.

Trickling Biofilters

Proven at Milas

Structured packing media tower biofilters for combined nitrification and CO₂ stripping. Operated at Milas across multiple species and temperature ranges, giving us comparative data that informs MBBR-vs-trickling selection per application.

Degassers

Proven at Milas

Forced-draft packed column degassers for dissolved CO₂ removal. CO₂ management is one of the most misunderstood parameters in RAS — our Milas team has developed practical protocols across species and season, incorporated into client training and manuals.

Oxygen Injection Systems

Proven at Milas

Pressurised liquid oxygen injection via ADEC oxygen cones. Oxygen management at high stocking densities is a daily task at Milas — the monitoring routines, setpoint management and emergency protocols developed there are standard in client training.

UV Disinfection Systems

Proven at Milas

Medium and low-pressure UV systems for pathogen control. Lamp maintenance scheduling, transmission monitoring and dose verification are routine at Milas — clients leave knowing not just that UV works, but exactly how to keep it working through the lamp lifecycle.

Aquaculture Tanks

Proven at Milas

Round and raceway tanks in thermoplastic construction, manufactured at ADEC's Milas factory. Tank geometry, inlet/outlet design and self-cleaning hydraulics have been refined through operational experience — reducing daily labour in intensive production.

Process Monitoring & SCADA

Proven at Milas

Integrated water quality monitoring and automated control. The alarm thresholds, response protocols and monitoring routines built into ADEC's SCADA were developed from Milas operational data — real events, real responses — not theoretical setpoints from manuals.

Every OCEANTECH™ product runs in these tanks before it reaches yours.

Species & Production

Species we have operated. Systems we have proven.

ADEC does not offer generic RAS solutions and claim they suit any species. We specify systems based on the actual biological requirements of the target species — requirements our team understands from direct operational experience at Milas.

Operated at Milas

European Sea Bass & Sea Bream

The primary commercial species operated at our own Milas facility. Our team has managed these species through acclimation, grow-out and multiple production cycles — developing the feeding protocols, density management and health monitoring that inform how we design and commission these systems for clients.

Operated at Milas

Turbot

A premium flatfish with specific requirements — particularly very low water velocity and dedicated tank geometry. ADEC has operated turbot systems at Milas and developed specific flatfish RAS engineering that differs significantly from round-fish system design.

Tilapia

ADEC delivered a complete turnkey tilapia RAS in Qatar — 4 tanks, 50 m³ total volume, 150 m² footprint, 3,500 kg capacity at 70 kg/m³ density. Direct experience of tilapia commissioning and the specific water quality management of intensive tilapia production.

Design capability

Atlantic Salmon

The flagship commercial RAS species globally, with major land-based investments underway across continents. ADEC's engineering team has designed salmon RAS at commercial scale — qualified for the cold water, high-oxygen, large-volume systems salmon requires.

Design & supply

Freshwater — Trout, Perch, Pike-perch

Freshwater RAS for European perch and trout is a growing sector across Europe and increasingly the Middle East. ADEC has supply and commissioning experience with freshwater species, drawing on bore-hole, municipal and recycled water sources.

Delivered: Biomar, Istanbul Uni.

Research & Hatchery Systems

Not all RAS is commercial grow-out. ADEC's experience includes research-scale RAS for leading feed manufacturer Biomar and Istanbul University's aquaculture research programme — demonstrating the precision, flexibility and documentation research applications require.

Frequently Asked

RAS technology, explained

OCEANTECH™ is ADEC's proprietary range of recirculating aquaculture equipment — drum filters, MBBR and trickling biofilters, degassers, oxygen injection systems, UV disinfection, culture tanks and SCADA control. Every product is manufactured in-house and proven in real production at our own Milas facility before it is supplied to clients.

Yes. ADEC designs and manufactures its core RAS equipment in-house rather than reselling third-party hardware. This means tighter quality control, equipment matched precisely to each facility's biology and flow rates, and reliable spare-part and service support across the GCC.

A complete process stack: mechanical drum filtration, biological MBBR and trickling biofilters, CO₂ degassing, liquid-oxygen injection via oxygen cones, UV and ozone disinfection, thermoplastic culture and raceway tanks, and integrated SCADA monitoring and control.

Yes. Unlike suppliers who sell equipment they have never operated, ADEC runs every OCEANTECH™ product daily at its 23,327 m² Milas fish farm. The alarm thresholds, maintenance routines and operating protocols we hand to clients come from real production data, not theoretical specifications.
